Thrive is a national charity whose mission is to research, educate and promote the use and advantages of gardening for people with a disability.

What are the corporate volunteering opportunities at Thrive?

Shopzilla
We can tailor corporate volunteering and team building at Thrive to meet the needs of your staff and organisation and have welcomed groups from organisations including Deloitte, Timberland, Barclays, RBS, Oracle and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Corporate volunteering is a great way to demonstrate that your organisation puts people first. It can also offer the opportunity for press coverage in local or trade media.

We can offer corporate volunteering for individuals and groups:

  • Individuals can volunteer for one day, consecutive days or a series of days. No charge is made, but donations are always welcome. Opportunities range from working with Thrive’s disabled gardeners to working in Thrive’s National Office for example in fundraising, PR or administration.

  • Teams can visit for single days or a number of days. We will suggest suitable projects and a member of Thrive staff will support and work with your group. Whilst there is no charge for corporate volunteering, we ask groups to consider a contribution towards costs of £1,500. There may be additional costs for materials depending on the work your group will be doing and we welcome additional donations to cover these expenses.

Why not look at taking Thrive back to your work place?
You can continue to engage staff and raise funds for Thrive by holding fun events and activities. We can suggest cost effective ways of continuing your involvement with Thrive without high costs and significant demands on your time.

Could you sponsor a Thrive garden? There is a limited opportunity to sponsor one of 5 new gardens at our Trunkwell Garden Project. If you can contribute between £6,000 and £10,000 please contact us for more information.

To find out more about all these opportunities, please contact Jan Panting at Thrive on 0118 988 5688 or send us an email
