Thrive is a national charity whose mission is to research, educate and promote the use and advantages of gardening for people with a disability.

Using social and therapeutic horticulture with children who have special educational needs

This one day course will help you match horticulture activities to children's individual needs while meeting the requirements of the national curriculum. Learn skills and practical techniques to keep students engaged.

As a participant you will learn more about how social and therapeutic horticulture can be of benefit and you will gain the confidence to implement your own horticulture programme. 

Refreshments, a light lunch, and all course materials and handouts are included in the course fee.

Registration and coffee is at 9.30am with the course starting at 10.00am and running until 4.30pm.

The price is £160 for statutory and non-voluntary organisations, £120 for Thrive Friends and Members and £135 for individuals and voluntary organisations.
