Training course

Thrive runs a comprehensive programme of training courses from September through to June each year. These courses will be of interest to you if you:

  • are working in social and therapeutic horticulture, health, education and social care
  • have recently started a new job in these areas or are recently qualified
  • want to start a new career in social and therapeutic horticulture.

Courses run over one or two days and usually the first day considers the needs of the individual client and the second day looks at the wider issues affecting garden projects.

The cost of Thrive courses is £160 per day for statutory and non-voluntary organisations or £120 per day for Thrive Friends and Members. We also offer a concessionary price of £135 per day for individuals and voluntary organisations.

We also offer a bespoke training service where we can tailor a course to meet your exact requirements, and we can organise study days for groups from overseas.

If you have a qualification in health or social care, education or horticulture, or you are an established practitioner of social and therapeutic horticulture, we also offer the Professional Development Diploma in STH. This course is run in partnership with Coventry University and Pershore College.

When booking online, please note that you can only book and pay for one delegate place at a time. To book more than one place, either complete the online process for each delegate, or book by post or fax using the booking form download below.
